I'm single, not married, never been married, have no desire to be married. I do not seek marriage nor do I think it's necessary for long term commitment. I do not dream of being a bride or having a wedding. I find traditional marriage practices to be infantilizing and disrespectful to the serious commitment of a long term partnership. I have always been a serial monogamist, meaning I had several long term relationships. I've also had relationships where we had another female partner involved. I have very occasionally slept with a man I wasn't seriously dating, though most of my relationships started with hooking up. I ultimately do not want a legal contract involved in my relationships.
I don't have kids and I don't plan on having them. I have no interest in being a mother. I mostly have no interest and even a genuine repulse to being pregnant, despite having a breeding fetish. I do not wish to ever be pregnant or endure the trauma that is birth. I have considered adoption, but ultimately I always come back to valuing my time, money, and space to be creative.
I don't have any pets and I don't plan on getting pets. The only pet I would ever consider getting is a cat, and even then I really have no desire to have one. I don't want to be responsible for a pet, and mostly I just don't want an animal living in my house. I have absolutely no desire to own, train, and care for a dog, though I did have two in my childhood. I am able to love the dogs I grew up with but also understand and accept that I have no desire to have one myself.
Yes, they all know what I do for a living. Some because I told them, some because they found out. Some of us just never talk about it. My mom knows and she is accepting to the best of her ability. My dad knows but I don't really talk to him about anything in my life so, of course we've never talked about it. He just must know because everyone else does.
I'm the eldest of my 3 siblings. My oldest sibling knows what I do and I imagine thinks it's kinda cool given what it's afforded me. I think they recognize the effort. That's my only sibling I talk to about it, though. My brother (23) and his girlfriend (21) were tragically killed in 2025 by a reckless driver. I don't mention it in my content or live streams for obvious reasons but I figured I could mention it here. As for my third sibling, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to talk to them about what I do truthfully.
When it comes to friends, I just gauge which ones I can tell and which ones I can't. For old friends, there are ones I felt I could tell them what I'm doing, and they were ultimately supportive and not surprised. What might surprise you is for some of my closest childhood friends, I felt like I couldn't tell them. We had grown apart and I didn't want to shock or offend them lol It could be an insecurity of my own because they would probably accept it.
For new friends, it also just depends on who the person is and in what context I'm meeting them. For people I don't want to know yet, I tell them I'm a video editor, which isn't really a lie lol I do edit all my own videos. For some people, like my male nail artist, I will say content creator but be vague or PG about what the content actually is, but usually this just leads to more questions lol. Some people I will say I'm an adult creator and they won't ask much more haha
